Zach rolled over!
Yesterday morning my little rounder rolled over from his tummy to his back...twice! I managed to catch the end of the second roll with my phone, but will spare everyone the video since he rolls in like two seconds and the rest of the time I'm cheering like a maniac trying to get him to roll a third time until he finally starts crying. I'm keeping my dignity lol.

Tummy Time
I have to admit I've not done a good job with giving Zach plenty of tummy time. Mainly for the fact that he seems to spit up each time, and then also because he doesn't exactly enjoy it. However, I realize I need to give him more time and was really impressed with how well he did. Obviously you can tell he isn't exactly having a great time, although the whole family was cheering him on and trying to get him to smile. I was surprised he stayed on his forearms like that!

A couple of pics
I forgot that I did snap a picture of Clara Grace during the dress rehearsal. Of course it is grainy and you cannot tell much, but it is something. Her group was called the prima dolls. The second picture was one I took tonight. I just thought it was too cute with Chuck reading to both kids right before I swept Zach off to go to bed.

Happy Birthday, Clara Grace!
My sweet baby girl turned five today! I can hardly believe it. She is so grown up now. We really didn't do much to celebrate today although we did get Dunkin' Donuts for breakfast at her request, and did get a special cupcake for her to eat after blowing out candles and hearing us sing Happy Birthday. She also got lots of phone calls from family. The real celebration will come next Saturday since we had another ballet performance today. Here are a few pics from today, and one of Zach that I just couldn't resist adding.
I made a bun!
Ok, as most of you know, I am challenged in the areas of cosmetics and hair styles. My poor child suffers as a result. Her first performance in a ballet (she is a prima doll in Coppelia) calls for a bun. I did it! And took pictures to prove it! Hopefully I'll be able to add a video of the performance when I get the DVD.
A Night at Fenway!
Last Friday night I went to see the Red Sox play the Braves with my friend, Christine. We had a great time, and had perfect weather. Too bad we lost.
The Bronx Zoo
We have been enjoying our time with Chuck on leave. He was told early on that we should definitely take Clara Grace to the Bronx Zoo. It took a few hours, but wasn't too bad of a drive if you subtract Clara Grace's bout of car sickness that resulted in a clean up at a gas station and a new outfit from a nearby Walmart.
Here are a few pics!

Awana Awards Night
First, a big apology for the massive span in time since my last post. It has been a whirlwind.
Last Sunday night we had our final Awana meeting for the year. Clara Grace completed her last year as a Cubbie and will be a Spark in the fall. The evening went well, she got her ribbon for winning first place in the Grand Prix derby which was nice sent she came in last place last year. However, the highlight of the evening for me was this video. I'm not sure how I feel about it, but there is no doubt it is hilarious! I'll see if you can figure out which one is my child.

I'm back!
Whew! What a week! I found out last weekend that Wendy and Dad were heading for Rehobeth Beach, DE and so we decided Sunday that we would head down there for a couple of days. We left on Tuesday morning and made it there just shy of nine hours. We took different vehicles since Charlie was planning to go to Alabama anyway on Thursday. He spend Wednesday with us and then sped on down to the heart of Dixie the next morning.
We had a great time. I'm thinking it was 17 years since I had been there. Grandma and Grandpa were doing great. We had nice weather on Wednesday. Each morning we had breakfast at Friendly's. The first day we walked from the boardwalk to their house and later took Clara Grace to an awesome playground. That night we drove out to Georgetown for some yummy food at a pizza joint that turned out to be a bit more than a pizza joint. It was rainy on Thursday so we hit the outlets, then that evening after dinner went to the boardwalk for some ice cream from the Royal Treat and let Clara Grace ride several rides at Funland. She had a blast. I forgot my camera and hope Dad can email me some pics of the visit so I can share them.
The drive home was not too bad. To be honest, I was quite a bit nervous about it. Armed with the GPS though I made it through five states and didn't make one wrong move. It rained the whole time and I did some praying for a smooth trip. I only had to stop one time, and that was 167 miles from home. I drove straight home, left teh kids in the car while I quickly emptied the trunk and front seat then hopped back in the car to pick up Jackson. I did that really quickly. I let Clara Grace watch a video while I fed the baby and unpacked a bit.
Today was a busy day as she had soccer pictures this morning, a game at 11 AM, and then a full-cast rehearsal for Copelia this afternoon in Bristol at her ballet studio. My fearless little lady stopped and wouldn't move when we walked in and she saw all the big kids already performing. She was a bit overwhelmed, but I was able to coax her over to watch for a minute and she went willingly when they came for the little ones. She was not the only one. One of the girls in her class was in tears when she walked in. They were all fine though. They all did a nice job when it was their turn to do their number. I think this is going to be a great performance based on what I saw today!
That pretty much brings us up to speed. Tomorrow we have church and the grand prix at Awana in the evening. I still have to find a speedy matchbox car. They don't make their own car at her level and just use the matchbox cars. Last year she was last in every heat. Hopefully I can do better this year lol. Then next week is the last meeting, being awards night.
The kids are both in bed and I'm off to watch Made of Honor now as Grandma highly highly recommended it and Charlie is out of town. It looks like a chic flick, so thought I would spare him. Aren't I nice?
